Peggy Spiro, Certified Real Estate Divorce Specialist

Peggy was raised and lived in the suburbs of New York City till 1993 when she moved to Colorado. Peggy started to realize the benefits of real estate ownership when she bought her first investment property at 21 years old. She went on to own many properties, as well as work as Director of Communications for one of the largest Commercial real estate firms in the area. When Peggy moved to Colorado, she started a radio talk show called Healthyme on Denver's 630 KHOW, which boasted being one of the most successful weekend shows. As a Certified Nutritionist, Peggy and her team of doctors advocated for the listeners, working hard to teach alternatives to the traditional medical paradigm.

Divorced after 32 years, Peggy went back to her passion, helping people with real estate. Peggy started working with many divorcing people who found themselves having to buy and/or sell real estate. "Selling a marital home is like getting divorced. It is an emotional transaction and it helps to have someone working right along side you as an advocate." She was one of the first Certified Real Estate Divorce Specialist in the country. She has written many articles about the topic and in 2007 was named on the top 50 Realtors, nationally to watch.

Peggy has been a Board member of Voices For Children-Casa since 1999, she was a founding member of Collaborative Divorce Professionals of Boulder and volunteered with Rebuilding Divorce Recovery for two years. She runs a monthly social group for Divorced Women.
